Today.....was a busy workday. Not that my workdays of late haven't been fraught with all the charms of the typical software company trying to release a product on a deadline...
Actually, that's not true. As I understand it, ours is not a "typical" software company. We ebb and flow with the seasonal tides of the great ocean of tax laws. We create software for the tax professional, thereby perpetuating (and streamlining) the timeless tradition of tax collection and aiding the endowment of that universal constant paralleled only by death itself.
Yes, I take great pride in my work. I am what you might call an "enabler", providing tools and administering systems that allow the great machine to successfully bestow it's wares upon the good tax-abiding people of civility.
Well, that's how I like to think of it anyway. A cold beer after work lets you think like that....
